Activated Bamboo Charcoal works through a process called 'adsorption'. The porous properties of the charcoal allow it to trap and neutralise odours, pollutants, and moisture from the air. The pores in the charcoal create a large surface area that attracts and holds onto these impurities. The bags last up to 2 years but need direct sunlight for around 5 hours each month to allow UV rays from the sun to release the absorbed odours and moisture. When used in the fridge or in your fruit bowl, they will help keep produce fresher by adsorbing the ethylene gas produced naturally for fruits and vegetables to ripen.
